Kdbsync.exe Error OpenCL.dll Missing

» When starting windows receive the error: Kdbsync.exe Error OpenCL.dll Missing, is there a fix to this?

Best Answer

» What is OpenCL in the first place? It is a method to share both graphic card processor and central processor to perform tasks together. It is actually a cool feature, often used in intense software like video editing tools. The problem is, AMD chose to launch the service by adding a batch file to Windows startup, which is a medieval solution at best. The file fails to start, because most probably, you installed the Catalyst drivers in Custom mode and deselected AMDAPP SDK.

kdbsync.exe is in most cases component installed with AMD Graphics Card driver. This process is part of the AML, which is a collection of OpenCL media components for GPU shader assisted video compression, image related processing and post processing. Kbsync.exe probably uses resources from that SDK.So reinstall or repair the video drivers, enabling all the components this time, and the error should be gone.

If you encounter an issue related to both exe file and dll file, normally they should be dealt with at the same time, and this can happen more often than not. That’s why DLL SUITE is invented. This suite has two built-in features of fixing exe virus infection and sys file problems, it works after removing the viruses with antivirus software.

DLL Suite is especially useful for the daily PC Users: a totally automated free repair tool supports for free download and fix of any .dll file, .exe file or .sys file. DLL Suite is an advanced DLL files fixer designed to fix all the daily computer problems related to DLL files, EXE files and SYS files. DLL Suite allows you to download Win32k.sys file and any other .sys files.

  2. TONY BAKER replied on March 16, 2013: » GARY MELINO, I followed your directions and when the box open everything was already open and everything was checked already. I mean everything even the "file not found" boxes. Your directions werent really clear. Am I supposed to "unselect" everything then "reselect" the "file not found" boxes. Or do I "unselect" the "file not found" boxes? I don't think this one is right but I of course and not sure.

  3. GARY MELINO replied on March 16, 2013: » You dont have to alter the checkbox. Click on "each" that say "file not found" right click on it, and click delete & OK. (7.right click, & click delete & OK

It helped?) As seen on the instructions I already given!

  4. GRACE PROCTOR replied on March 18, 2013: » Copy the most recent of the 'OpenCL.dll' DLLs found to the same folder where kdbsync.exe resides (C:\Program Files (x86)\AMD AVT\bin in my case) rather than to folder system32.

  5. BOBBIE PHELPS replied on March 20, 2013: » In a drive-by download, your computer becomes infected just by visiting a website which contains malicious code. Cybercriminals search the Internet looking for vulnerable web servers that can be hacked. On such servers, cybercriminals can inject their malicious code (often in the form of malicious script) onto the web pages. If your operating system or one of your applications is un-patched, a malicious program is downloaded to your computer automatically when you access the infected web page.
