» The spoolsv.exe is a system file that Microsoft Windows uses to control the printing process on all versions of windows. The file is located in C:\Windows\System32.

This service handles all of the necessary printing and faxing tasks so that the user can continue to work. The service handles spooling the document to the print processor so it can be formatted in the correct printer display language, then the service routes the formatted document to the actual print device the user selected.

The Spoolsv.exe File can be a virus, Trojan(Trojan:Win32/Alureon.EC) or worm. In fact if that file is located anywhere other than theC:\Windows\System32 folder, it most likely is some form of malware. The official Microsoft system file is always located in the C:\Windows\System32 folder. According to Symantec, there are three viruses that use the spoolsv.exe filename. They are the following viruses:Backdoor.Ciadoor.B, VBS.Masscal.Worm and Hacktool.Privshell.

I recommend that you first run a complete anti-virus and spyware scan of your computer to eliminate the possibility that the error is being caused by a malware infestation. And then use DLL Suite to fine tune the system, because it has a special tool of Fix Exe Virus, which can be applied for removing any kind of exe virus infection

Download DLL Suite, install and run > Click Dashboard menu and > Click Scan DLL Errors button > Click Fix DLL Errors button after the scan. And all the exe file related problems are fixed. And also, you can use DLL Suite to free download any dll file you need.

MARIE EDWARDS replied on February 19, 2013: » Move spoolsv.exe (especially does not delete it because it must be returned) > shut down and restarted the machine (more runtime error but printers are no longer found)> replace spoolsv.exe in windows/system32 (it is still not functional) > shut down and restarted the machine:spoolsv.exe is repaired or resets- the problem has disappeared
