» First of all you can't view .dll files. Short for Dynamic Link Library, a library of executable functions or data that can be used by a Windows application. Typically, a DLL provides one or more particular functions and a program accesses the functions by creating either a static or dynamic link to the DLL. A static link remains constant during program execution while a dynamic link is created by the program as needed. DLLs can also contain just data. DLL files usually end with the extension .dll,.exe., drv, or .fon.

Short for Delay Locked Loop, Delay-Locked Loop (DLL) supports high-bandwidth data rates between devices. These DLLs are circuits that provide zero propagation delay, low-clock skew between output clock signals throughout a device, and advanced clock domain control. These dedicated DLLs can be used to implement several circuits that improve and simplify system level design.

The link to a dll file may be broken by a virus(HackTool:Win32/Eksqushel.A) attack, leaving a Not Found message. In this case, you need to remove the virus by your AV programme. But one thing needs to be clear: many associated dll files have been affected in the process of virus infection removal and registry cleanup.

To fix all these dll errors, DLL Suite is designed for you and has been acclaimed by its users across the world ever since it was launched (click its icon to have a clear look of its interface). To do it, click its Dashboard menu > click Scan DLL Errors button > click Fix DLL Errors button after the scan, any dll file related errors will be repaired automatically.

In case of a missing or not found dll file error, you can click Start Scan & Download DLL - Free button, choose the required dll file and click More Information, click Download button from the open web page.

  2. SILVIO CORREA replied on February 18, 2013: » Not actually trying to open them but when I right click on an item on my desktop I get a message that resource file is missing but when I look for it I find it and assume that its the .dll files inside that can't be opened by xp home OS.

  3. FELIX GARCIA replied on February 21, 2013: » Have you tried using System File Checker to see if that will replace your missing .DLL file/files? You can try this by: Click Start > Click Run > Type cmd > Click OK > Enter the command sfc /scannow

System File Checker scans all of the system .DLL files to check to see if any are missing or changed. Any file that has an inconsistency will be replaced.

  4. DALLAS HADDON replied on February 22, 2013: » I am trying to open a .dll file because I have just downloaded drivers for a digital camera and this is part of the process. I have had to open .dll files before, and I was able to find a free, quick and easy file opener for them. This one is giving me trouble, however, and I just want a "free, quick and easy" fix again.

  5. A WALBOLT replied on February 23, 2013: » A DLL can be used by several applications at the same time. Some DLLs are provided with the Windows operating system and available for any Windows application. Other DLLs are written for a particular application and are loaded with the application.
